Locating suspicious objects and suspicious vessels away from ships is an important mission in coastal and border patrol.
The newly developed PDH-GS120 gasoline helicopter boasts a cruising speed of 60km/h, a maximum speed of 120km/h and a maximum flight time of more than two hours, enabling the helicopter to perform long-distance and long-range tasks that were not previously possible, such as searching for people in distress, transporting emergency supplies and logistics to remote areas, and inspecting pipelines and other long-distance construction.
In the demonstration test, we performed automatic takeoff and landing to the ship, as well as efficient camera image acquisition and transmission.
In addition, the aircraft has a waterproof rating equivalent to IP56 and is equipped with a float to prevent equipment loss due to submersion.
We are currently working with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. to develop a surveillance system to improve the efficiency of operations such as searching for suspicious vessels and distressed persons.
