NAGOYA-Japan, March 22- PRODRONE Co., Ltd. and the team engineers lead by Masahide Sasaki, Principal Researcher at Quantum ICT Advanced Development Centerin the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) have developed new technology to securely transmit concealed video data to the coverage hole where radio waves are not penetrated with a relay drone. The team also succeeded in transmitting data securely by using the commercial Wi-Fi device which is unnecessary the radio station license.
General drone communication often leads to the loss of data. In order to relay video data with low delay and securely, we have now developed the detector for the loss of data and effective key synchronized frame construction, which make it possible to securely relay data using one time pad cryptography with a genuineness random number. The experiments were conducted both indoor and outdoor.
It will be possible to widen highly secured network and provide data promptly by allocating a number of relay and photography drones. In the future, we expect the technology can adapt into various ways of use such as facility surveillance.
