Prodrone Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Shunsuke Totani, hereinafter referred to as Prodrone) participated in the ``Reiwa 7 Remote Island Disaster Prevention Exercise (RIDEX)'' (hereinafter referred to as this exercise) sponsored by the Ministry of Defense and held in Niijima Village, Tokyo. This training was held over two days, November 14th and 15th, 2025.
Prodrone participated in this training based on a request from the Japan UAS Industry Promotion Association (JUIDA).■Overview of trainingThis training was sponsored by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. FY2020 Tokyo/Nijima Village Joint Comprehensive Disaster Prevention Drill ” was carried out in collaboration with Based on the assumption of tsunami damage caused by a Nankai Trough earthquake, we carried out a drone transport of medical supplies from Shikinejima to Niijima, and then conducted flight training to return to Shikinejima.■Results and collaborationProdrone has two types of helicopter-type drones, PDH-GS120 (5kg loading) Prodrone GT-M (loading 1kg) was used to carry out emergency transport of pharmaceuticals (including prescriptions for antihypertensive drugs, etc.). This transport was carried out with JUIDA at its core, with aviation coordination between the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's manned aircraft and drones, and the flight took about 6 minutes each way over the approximately 4km distance between Shikinejima and Niijima.

Under conditions of a ground wind speed of approximately 8 m/s, two types of aircraft completed two round-trip transportation as planned in one hour from takeoff at 14:00 to mission completion at 15:01, demonstrating its high stability and operability. Additionally, under the aviation coordination of JUIDA, a total of 3 aircraft and 3 round trips were carried out with other companies during the same time period, confirming the overall excellent transport capacity.

During the training, we were able to explain the effectiveness of using drones in times of disaster to Tokyo Metropolitan Government officials, including Vice Governor Kurioka, Director-General of the General Affairs Bureau Sato, and Crisis Management Director Harada, as well as Niijima Village officials, including Mayor Onuma Village, and gain a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of using drones in times of disaster.

Prodrone will continue to promote social implementation of drone technology in the field of disaster prevention and mitigation, and will contribute to building a safe and secure society through rescue operations and recovery support when disasters occur.
