Prodrone Concluded a Grant Agreement with UNIDO for the “Green industrial recovery Project for Ukraine through technology transfer from and the co-creation of new business with Japan’s private industries”

Prodrone Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, CEO: Shunsuke Toya, hereinafter “Prodrone”) has concluded a Grant Agreement with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for a feasibility study (F/S) of the “Green Industrial Recovery Project for Ukraine through Technology Transfer from and the Co-creation of New Businesses with Japan’s Private Industries” (hereinafter “the Project”) funded by financial contribution of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is implementing a green industrial recovery programme for Ukraine 2024-2028 from the ongoing war. The “Green industrial recovery project for Ukraine through technology transfer from and the co-creation of new businesses with Japan’s private industries”, funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI), aims to support country’s industrial recovery and innovation ecosystem building through technology transfer, capacity-building and business co-creation between Ukrainian and Japanese private sectors.

Under the Project, led by Prodrone as the grant beneficiary, in collaboration with Padeco, Blue Bridge Partners, and Ukrainian companies Ailand Systems and Drone UA, we aim to improve low-altitude stable flight technology equipped with landmine detection UAV. By integrating AI analysis, this initiative aims to achieve safer and more efficient landmine detection activities, contributing to reducing casualties and injuries during detection operations.

Through this Project, we aim to contribute to the recovery of Ukraine’s green industry and further advance Prodrone’s UAV technology. We will leverage this technological development to foster new industrial creation in Ukraine and work towards the global goal of eliminating landmines.
