Participated in the information gathering training for "Nankai Rescue 2024 (Toshijima, Mie Prefecture)" sponsored by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Ministry of Defense

On January 13, 2020, PRODRONE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Shunsuke Toya, hereinafter referred to as PRODRONE) participated in an information gathering exercise held on Toshijima, Mie Prefecture, together with the Ground Self-Defense Force 10th Division and the Japan UAS Industry Promotion Association (JUIDA), as part of the "Nankai Rescue 2024" sponsored by the Ground Self-Defense Force Chubu Army. "Nankai Rescue 2024" is a rescue drill that simulates large-scale disasters such as a Nankai Trough earthquake, and is conducted by the Ground Self-Defense Force in collaboration with local governments and related organizations. PRODRONE participated in this training with the aim of strengthening disaster response using drone technology, such as rapid situational awareness from the air. In this training, drones and Self-Defense Force motorcycles were airlifted by Self-Defense Force helicopters, and the drones and motorcycles worked together to collect information when they arrived at Toshi Island. Prodrone's PD4B-M, which boasts a wind resistance of 20m, demonstrated stable flight even in strong winds with a predicted wind force of 15.2 to 13.5m/s at altitude (111m).
