Toyota City Fire Department conducts building fire training using PD4-XA1 (Firefighting Edition)

Newly introduced “PD4-XA1 (Fire Department Edition)”

PRODRONE Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as PRODRONE) has delivered the "PD4-XA1 (Fire Department Edition)" to the Toyota City Fire Department Headquarters. On March 23, 2023, the Toyota City Fire Department conducted a building fire drill using the PD4-XA1 (Firefighting Edition) in Toyota City. In this training, we simulated a fire outbreak in a mid-to-high-rise building, and utilized new drone functions to guide the evacuation of those in need of rescue who were unable to escape, and to carry out search and rescue operations. Firefighters who rushed to the scene after receiving a report of a fire flew the PD4-XA1 (Firefighting Edition) to check if there were people in need of rescue, and then spoke to them using a new speaker function to guide them to the rescue. The Toyota City Fire Department has been using Prodrone aircraft for some time. The newly introduced aircraft, the PD4-XA1 (Fire Fighting Edition), has added speaker and image analysis functions to conventional functions such as video transmission and an infrared camera, making it possible to use audio evacuation guidance and understand damage conditions (such as houses buried in earth and sand) by comparing images before and after a disaster. The company plans to continue to actively utilize the system for disaster relief efforts and other activities. PRODRONE will continue to deepen its cooperation with police and fire departments across the country and continue to develop aircraft that reflect the needs of the field.
