PRODRONE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Shunsuke Totani; hereinafter referred to as PRODRONE) aims to develop a "large drone (hereinafter referred to as 50/50 drone) that can carry a load of 50 kg and transport it up to 50 km away." Drones are expected to become the infrastructure of the near future in mountainous areas and remote islands under the Digital Garden City Nation concept, and the 50/50 drone aims to become a "light truck in the sky" that transports supplies including medicines and daily necessities. In addition to daily necessities, we are also considering transporting supplies to the 257 mountain huts across the country (as of 2019) and using them for infrastructure in mountain areas. What was unveiled at the recently held DRONE EXPO 2022 in Aichi was the ``12-sheet large prototype (XPD12B)'' that we are considering for a 50/50 drone. At EXPO, we conducted a demonstration of transporting a 43kg plastic tank, which literally has 12 propellers. However, the distance it can still fly is about 3km. PRODRONE's challenges continue.
