Demonstration experiment of “sake brewing” using 5G and drones begins in Aizuwakamatsu City

PRODRONE Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Aizuwakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, President: Yoshimo Mitsuda, hereinafter referred to as AAA) have started a demonstration project that utilizes the next-generation mobile communication system "5G" and IoT technology that connects all things to networks in the process of "sake brewing", a local industry in Aizuwakamatsu.

Project overview

This demonstration project is being carried out by KDDI, NRI and AAA in cooperation with Aizu-Wakamatsu City, including local agricultural and sake brewing-related parties such as the Aizu Yotsuba Agricultural Cooperative, the Fukushima Prefecture High-Tech Plaza Aizu-Wakamatsu Technical Support Center, and other parties in the ``Research on the technical conditions of next-generation mobile systems that support high-speed data transmission, IoT services, etc. in the suburbs'' commissioned by NRI from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. PRODROEN not only provides the aircraft for this demonstration project, but also provides remote control of the aircraft and camera, as well as support for flight routes.
