(Headquarters: Naka-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Masakazu Kono) is pleased to announce that it has developed a new large platform aircraft, ``PD6B-Type II,'' which is equipped as standard with a PSU (Prodrone Safety Unit), a safety device with a preset flight range. This machine will be exhibited at "Xponential 2018," the world's largest UAV exhibition, to be held in Denver, USA from May 1st to May 3rd, 2018 (local time). "PD6B-Type II" is a large new platform aircraft that is equipped as standard with a PSU (Prodrone Safety Unit), a safety device with a preset flight range. If the aircraft deviates from the preset flight range or altitude, it can automatically deploy a parachute and land safely. Additionally, by reversing the installation direction of adjacent motors, we have adopted a layout that prevents the propellers from lapping when unfolded. As a result, the distance between the shafts is shorter than the conventional large 6-blade machine, resulting in space savings while maintaining thrust performance. The motor battery can be stored in a battery box isolated from the aircraft frame with a single touch, improving the convenience of battery replacement. Furthermore, by making the battery box independent, it is possible to freely change the battery installation position according to the user's work specifications. PRODRONE's new large 6-sheet machine "PD6B-Type II" has the extra power of a large machine, high portability, and the high safety of a PSU, so it can be used in a very wide range of industrial applications such as laser surveying machines and material transportation machines.
