This machine will be on display at Xponential 2018, the world's largest UAV exhibition, to be held in Denver, USA from May 1st to May 3rd, 2018 (local time). This is a medium-sized double rotor platform 8-piece machine that PRODRONE has newly developed based on the various requests and opinions of many professional users to achieve both high functionality and portability at a high level. It is equipped with various sensors required for an industrial drone as standard equipment, has double rotors to increase portability, and has a foldable rotor arm, making it an extremely compact aircraft that is only 50cm in size, even though it is a medium-sized aircraft. Equipped with four sensors and a parachute as standard equipment. In the front direction, two sensors, a stereo camera and a sonar, are used to provide collision prevention/avoidance functions, and a laser and optical flow are installed at the bottom for vision positioning (self-position detection). In addition, we aimed to modularize the sensors installed, and aim for a design that allows for easy addition of functions. The PD8X is ideal for carrying small laser surveying instruments and gimbals that require payloads, light cargo transportation, and measuring instruments.
