METI Certifies "Supply Security Plan" to Promote Stable Supply of Domestic Drones

Prodrone Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture; President and CEO: Shunsuke Totani; hereinafter "Prodrone") is pleased to announce that it has applied for a Stable Supply Securing Plan (hereinafter "the Plan") for the specified critical material "Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" pursuant to Article 9, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Promotion of Secure National Critical Technologies through Integrated Economic Measures (Economic Security Promotion Act), and has received approval from the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The purpose of the Plan is to establish a stable domestic supply system for unmanned aerial vehicles and strengthen the supply chain.

Based on the Plan, Prodrone will promote the development of production technologies and the enhancement of its production infrastructure. Alongside advancing technological development for mass production, the company will secure a new factory and introduce production equipment. Through these initiatives, Prodrone will establish a stable supply system to meet drone demand in the domestic market for inspections, logistics, disaster prevention, and other applications, thereby contributing to the reinforcement of the industrial base for domestically produced drones.
